What a Sphere record holds

Each person in your Sphere carries a relationship type, a tier, and a set of dates. Those three things decide who a campaign reaches and which touches can fire.

Relationship type

One of: past client, sphere, referral partner, family, friend, vendor, or other. This is not decoration. Campaigns target it, and one surface checks it strictly: the Past client is back card on Today only ever shows people marked past client.

Tier

  • VIP: your top relationships. Counted separately on the Sphere page.
  • Standard: the default.
  • Inactive: people you are not actively working. Campaigns can target this tier to re-engage them.

Dates that trigger touches

Birthday and home anniversary are real fields on the record. A birthday or home anniversary campaign reads them directly, so a person with the field empty is never queued for one.

Getting people in

  1. Go to Sphere, then Import contacts.
  2. Upload a CSV. Headers are matched for you and are not case sensitive or order sensitive. Only a name column is required.
  3. Recognized columns include name, email, phone, address line 1 (also matches "address1" or "street address"), city, state, zip, birthday, home anniversary, relationship, tier, and notes.
  4. Past-client rows can also carry a closing date and the agent's email.

Importing a contact is not consent to market to them. The import writes no consent record, by design.
