Birthdays and home anniversaries
Yes, off the dates on each person's record. These are the two touches that need no cleverness to land well, and the two an agent most reliably forgets.
What each one reads
- A birthday campaign reads the birthday field on the person.
- A home anniversary campaign reads the home anniversary date, which is the date they closed on their house.
- Either field empty means that person is simply never queued. Nothing errors and nothing warns you.
The timing
The note is queued about a day ahead and scheduled to go out on the morning of the date itself, so quiet hours have room to settle it and it still arrives on the right day. A late run still catches dates from the last few days rather than missing them. Everyone gets at most one note per campaign per year, no matter how often the job runs.
How the compliance gate treats these
Birthday and home anniversary notes send under the same lawful, opt-out-based email model as the rest of your sphere marketing, not the stricter consent-record gate used for pipeline leads. Most people in a sphere have never been promoted to a lead, and for them the note sends on the suppression-list and quiet-hours checks alone, no consent record required. If a person has been promoted to a lead, their notes route through that stricter gate instead, and if it has no consent record on file for them, the note is queued and then marked skipped, and their birthday passes quietly. Check a real person's touch history if you are unsure which path they are on.
There is also a plan gate, checked first. Nurture is a Pro-and-up feature, so on Starter these notes are queued and then skipped every single time, consent or not. Upgrading is the only fix; nothing about the person's record changes it.
These touches are email only. REHL will not text a birthday note to someone in your sphere.
