Tasks: the list of what you owe

Tasks hold commitments. Not what happened (that is the timeline) and not what REHL is going to send (that is Cultivate). Just the things you said you would do.

Adding one

  1. Open Tasks and type a title.
  2. Set a due date if there is one. Leaving it blank is fine and means "sometime soon".
  3. Link it to a lead or a listing so the row carries context.
  4. Add a reminder time if you want a nudge, and mark it private if you need to.

There is no priority field, on purpose

You cannot set a priority. REHL works it out on every read from two facts: how the due date sits against right now, and how hot the linked lead is. Overdue beats due-today beats a hot lead beats scheduled, and a hot lead bumps whatever it is attached to up one step. The badge always renders with its reason next to it, so you never have to decode a color.

Because it is worked out fresh each time, it cannot go stale. A task that was normal this morning reads urgent this afternoon if its lead heated up.

Private is not private from your broker

Tasks are visible across the brokerage by default, because a commitment to a client has to be pickable up when you are on holiday. Marking a task private hides it from other agents. It does NOT hide it from your brokerage admin or owner, who can always see every task under their license. The screen says so at the toggle. Write accordingly.

Reminders, repeats and sub-tasks

  • A reminder is separate from the due date. A task due Friday can nudge you Thursday. Reminders ring your bell and push to your phone if you have the app installed.
  • Reschedule a reminder and the nudge re-arms. Save the task without touching the time and it will not buzz you twice.
  • A reminder more than 24 hours stale is skipped rather than fired late. The task itself is still on your list.
  • Repeats are a rule, not a calendar. Completing a recurring task creates the next one. No future copies are sitting in the table.
  • A sub-task nests under its parent. If it surfaces on its own because the parent did not match your filter, the row still shows which parent it belongs to.

Why is a task I set for today already overdue?

It should not be. A due date you pick is stored as the end of that day in your own time zone, so "today" stays not-overdue until today is actually over.

Can I clear a batch at once?

Yes. Select up to 200 tasks and complete, reopen, delete, or snooze them by a number of days. Anything you cannot see is skipped and counted, rather than failing the whole batch.

What is the source label on a task?

Every task records where it came from, and the screen labels anything that was not typed by a person so you can always tell your own words from a suggestion. Today every task in REHL is created by hand or by a repeat rule, so you will not see the other labels yet.

Why does Today only show some of my tasks?

Today's card lists open tasks due today or already overdue. Undated tasks are left off, because "sometime soon" is a real state and it is not today.
